School Work Camp The transition to online learning during the COVID-19 outbreak has been frustrating on many levels. If you’re reading this, chances are you don’t need it explained to you: confusing assignments, difficult material, and teachers stretched thin, just to mention a few. In fall 2020, we will be implementing a program to make your life much, much easier. Our in-person School Work and/or Homework Camp will offer students a chance to work with a tutor to get through their school work assignments. This small-group setting will offer some socializing, as well as relief from the stress of trying to get work done at home. All help will be in real time and in person at the Zoffness College Prep Tutoring Center in Mamaroneck not online. We may add additional sites. How will this help? The goal here is for schoolwork to be done at our facility, so that it doesn’t have to be done at home. This means that time at home can be family time, instead of fight-about-schoolwork time. Neat, huh? How many students per group? Our facility can host 3 groups of about 3-8 students each. If demand is strong then we may expand to 3 groups, subject to maximum occupancy requirements at the time. Each group will have a dedicated tutor who will spend time with each student. Is it safe? We will be following all best-practice guidelines according to reopening in NY in the fall. This will include frequent cleaning and disinfecting (between groups) and hand-washing upon entry and exit for both students and tutors. It will involve wearing masks, if that is still deemed necessary by public health authorities. Social distancing requirements at the time will be observed, to the extent that it is possible.
You can choose 2, 3 or 5 days a week. Cost ranges from $90 to $100 based on amount of Sessions. Session are 3 hours around remote school and added recess.
